Will & Finck Fantasy Dice Set This is the nicest fantasy piece I've seen in a long time. The all wooden box with brass hinges is very well made and stained. It measures 6" X 1 1/2" X 9/16". Inside are 6 wooden dice with brass pips. Five of the dice measure 25/32" squared and one die measures 13/16" squared. On the lid is an oval metal plate that reads: Will & Finck/Manufacturing Cutters/No 821 Kearny Street/San Francisco Cal/1851. Someone went to a lot of trouble to create such a fine looking dice set and box. |

Gold Scales C/AR223 Gold Scale. This is a very fine gold and precious stone scale in a fitted wood box with purple lining that is marked H Kohlbusch, 61 Warren Street, N.Y. The balance beam is marked F and 13 while the other parts of the scale are only marked 13. This is the finest made scale that I have seen. It includes a 5c/7g, 2c, 2c, 1c and 5 smaller weights (50/100, 25/100, 5, 2, 1) It is missing 2 larger weights. The box is approx. 6" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/2") and has a domed top. There is a 3" tweezers that slides into a slot in the case. |

It has a small crack in the wood on each side going from the barrel key inlay to the forend tip. 3 stage cocking is very crisp and the trigger pull is very strong. |

The barrel has been shortened to 5 1/2" and the lanyard ring has been removed. There is evidence of wear where the ring had been for many years of use. The wood grips are worn and appear original to the gun. The trigger guard is slightly bent resulting from a blow at sometime in its use. This is a handgun that was used and has a very pleasing appearance. |

1880's Childs Cowboy Boots C/AR135 Child's Cowboy Boots. Circa 1880 with 2 1/2" red leather uppers on worn brown boots. There are no heals, the soles are worn completely through. The boots are approximately 7 1/2" long. One boot is missing its woven boot pull straps. The red uppers also line the upper inside of the boots and are torn on both boots. These boots are neat and represent hard to find children's clothing from the 1800’s and show considerable wear. |

McLaughlin's Coffee / Man-of-War Trade card from McLaughlin's Coffee depicting the launching of a Man-of-War ship and a picture of Sec. of Navy Hilary Abner Herbert, born in Laurensville, S.C., in 1834, educated at the University of Alabama and the University of Virginia. He was admitted to the South Carolina bar in 1856 and practiced law in Greenville until the Civil War.
The future Secretary of the Navy entered the Confederate Army as a second lieutenant and served his cause with gallantry for 4 years. After the war, Herbert returned to his law practice and was elected to Congress in 1877. During his tenure as Congressman, Herbert was chairman of the Committee on Naval Affairs and was largely responsible for the increased appropriations which led to the revival of the American Navy.
In 1893 President Grover Cleveland appointed Herbert as Secretary of the Navy. Secretary Herbert was able to muster support for an enlarged navy, despite the Depression of 1893, and brought the fleet to some level of preparedness for the Spanish-American War. From 1897 to his death 6 March 1919 Herbert practiced law in Washington, D.C.Herbert.Copyright 1893. Colors are bright. This genuine Mason & Co. Newark N.J. portable Roulette Table with wing for chips features the original green felt with removable wing for a dealer to stack chips. The table is oak constructed with a few minor small moth holes scattered over surface with felt being slightly faded in some areas. This type table was used by the Professional Gambler that moved from mining camp to mining camp or from cattle town to cattle town.
This table was designed to sit on a table and could be carried on trains, riverboats, etc. for easy setup. It has repair to bottom of table on left side, not visible from top. Other cracks and imperfection. Overall this is a clean antique gambling table/hand painted layout. Measures 48" x 81" unfolded, 40" x 37" folded for transport.
Also included is a 22" full size mahogany Roulette Wheel. The wheel shows two of the paper numbers slightly damaged, but still clearly legible. At the base of the center pin is stamped, "Hoke Pinball Game". |
