Nightstick C/DP24
This nightstick comes from El Paso, Texas by way of Bandara, Texas where it was purchased years ago. It measures 19 1/2" long and is 1 5/8" at its widest point. Note the numbers 30T25 stamped on the stick, its natural bow and the phallic-shaped end. Could this have come out of an El Paso brothel?

Opium Scales

Opium Scales
Commonly referred to as an "Opium Scale" it could have been used for that. The Chinese migrated to America beginning in 1850 during the Gold Rush and with them they brought this type scale. Since they also brought Opium with them the scale got its name. The hand carved case is made of wood and the long rod is bone. This may dated between the 1850's and 1880's.
Price: $135.00

Night Stick

Night Stick
1890's Policeman nightstick. Measures 22" long. May be made of Mahogany. Has metal plate with serial number stamped in it. I found one pictured in "Old West Antiques & Collectibles" on page 183 that is almost identical. Because of all the turning work done to the handle this may have been a "Presentation" nightstick. Pretty fancy if just used to hit some one over the head with it.
Price: $285.00
